the Random Thing thing

I keep getting something like this on Facebook, but refuse to fill it out. But since Mr. Macabre did it, I figure - what the hell?

1. My family heritage is mostly Irish, my last name is English, but I'm told I am part French and Native American (some small tribe that is now extinct, on my paternal grandmother's side).
2. I have strange eating habits. Most notably, I always divide my burgers in half and usually eat the top bun first.
3. I nearly finished a BS degree in Psychology before switching to Film Studies -- I have a BA in Film Studies, and BAJ in Telecommunications Production, and a near minor in German
4. I've only cut my hair short once, and I've colored it nearly every hue under the sun.
5. My biggest pet peeve: improper use of reflexive pronouns
6. I love Halloween, yet hate haunted attractions (due to an incident in my childhood, I will hit any scare actor that acts like they are going to touch me)
7. I marched Baritone in my high school band
8. I've been trained as a film projectionist
9. I grew up with a physically disabled mother who worked in rehab; I was in kindergarten before I realized that the able-bodied were the majority
10. I always wanted to be an eccentric personality. I'm very disappointed in my normality, but kind of figure you can't force these things.
11. My teeth are really sensitive to cold and to sweets
12. I'm a thanatophobe, starting when I was five
13. I don't have defined 'favorites' (bands, colors, books, etc) - I always feel like a liar when I fill out profiles for this reason
14. I prefer old people to young people and always have
15. I've never seen the movie Jaws
16. I am a Girl Gamer who prefers console to pc, and the PS3 over the 360
17. My favorite game series is Silent Hill; I also can't actually play them by myself because I get really, really scared
18. I'm addicted to coffee, and like it best with vanilla powder and enough half-and-half to turn it blonde
19. I own enough Skull and Halloween clothing that I never go a day without something 'spooky' on
20. I feel possessive over vampire lore; I resent the modern shift from 'monster/predator' to 'marginalize, sexual figure'
21. Really didn't like Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
22. I forget to wear my engagement ring roughly 50% of the time
23. When I was younger I believe that I had 'backwards luck' - that things like black cats and the number 13 were lucky for me
24. In highschool, people called me "Scarrie as Hell" behind my back
25. I almost never get up the first time the alarm goes off
26. Really don't like playing card games
27. I can take or leave icecream, but I will fight you for a cookie
28. I don't have home internet - almost all of my posting is scheduled on either my lunch hour, or at the coffee shop
29. Went the college a year early
30. I'm looking forward to having gray hair
31. I can't pretend to glare at people - I always start smiling
32. Hate debating
33. My nightmares are really graphic and violent
34. In my first job out of college I got to drive around the actor who played my favorite character on my favorite show at the time (he was completely nice)
35. My cubicle at work is loosely themed after a cabinet of curiosities
36. I read my horoscope daily
37. I'm almost always running late; when I need to be "on time" I normally arrive about 30 minutes early
38. I'm not competetive
39. It's rare for me to actually go out anywhere to celebrate Halloween
40. My Dad did all the cooking and cleaning growing up; domestic gender roles are hopelessly f*d up for me
41. I enjoy cussing. A lot.
42. I'm an aggressive driver and yell a lot in my car
43. Once I saw a woman step off the bus only to collapse and (I'm pretty sure) die before the ambulance arrived
44. My radio is almost always tuned to NPR
45. I value collaboration over perfection - because 'perfection' is so very subjective
46. I experience episodes of depression
47. I have had three separate episodes of premonition regarding the deaths of people I know
48. My straws always end up severely chewed
49. I am always making up elaborate lies and excuses in my head, but I can never bring myself to actually use them (I'm bitterly honest)
50. I worry. A lot. About almost everything.

Randomly, I had these awesome Oreo Truffles at the superbowl party I attended. I gotta make some.
