Ghosties Brush Pack

I've been at it again: toying with Martha's wine labels.

When my parents came over to help clean up the basement flood, my Mom helpfully suggested that I could make each one different and add some of the clip art from my invitations. As they were already cut out and sealed, and thus practically done - simply awaiting the bottles - I scoffed at first. Then I thought about it some, and well - I think she was absolutely right:

The monogram label is for our toasting champagne, the rest are pretty self explanatory. The ghost was a new element; I found the brush pack on deviant art and thought it too cute not to use:

UPDATE! I almost forgot to include the 'finished' picture (blurry as always):

Free Printable Labels

iDiY posted some free apothocary/vintage bottle labels - they are mostly cutesy, but I found the colors (blues and teals and greens) to be quite inspiring. A little bit of tea-or-coffee staining for age, or perhaps some watered down black paint to give it that grungy look - could be quite nice.

Also, I'm a sucker for re-labeling bottles.

Check it out here.

More Creepy Labels

I like weird bottles with weird labels; really now, haven't you noticed my l-o-v-e affair with everything that happens over at LoveManor's flickr account?

Recently I came across neat labels for sale over at Ten Two Studios, by way of their project section.

Neat, eh? I really like the Heebie Jeebies one, and Essence of Bat's breath.
