Fear of Clowns

Did you know that Coulrophobia (FEAR OF CLOWNS)
is one of the most common phobias? I never could
understand how anyone could be afraid of clowns.
As a child, I dreamed of going to the circus to watch
these big top mischief makers perform their magic.
But then I guess it would be hard for some of you to
understand my fear of spiders. I enjoy looking at them
(from a distance), decorating my house with them
at Halloween, and sculpting them out of paper clay
but... I cannot sleep at night after seeing one
on my ceiling, or work in my studio after seeing one
scurrying across the floor. And why is it that they always
appear bigger to me than to anyone else?

So to those of you who suffer from Coulrophobia,
my apologies. But I couldn't resist posting
this photo of another clown that will be
accompanying me to the show.

Clowning around

Show time is just around the corner. Procrastinating
and goofing off are luxuries that I can no longer afford.
It's time to seriously start clowning around.
Here's a peek at some little wooden ornaments
that I'm bringing to the show.

Trying to get ahead...

...but feeling so behind.
I begin each day with the best of intentions.
Really, I do. It's not for lack of trying. Life is
taking center stage this week and I am called
upon to play the Ringmaster. So I leave with you
a peep show of sorts, of the cast of characters
who lie in wait undone, as I wrestle with the
main events of the day.
