Poll "Winner"

Five days seemed like long enough to let people vote in the poll; so, though I won't take the voting down until Friday, I'm calling the results as they stand:

38 voters

Victorian Inspired (Jacks or Recycled Bottle Luminaries)
21.05%
Pumpkins (paper mache, gilded, real... just pumpkins!)
44.74%
Masks (paper mache, masks on sticks, ideas welcomed)
13.16%
Halloween Candles (specimen jars, tall wrapped votives, etc)
15.79%
Something else (chalkboard paint items, Holiday Queen inspired, cob-webby crows ... All options open!)
5.26%

Clearly, people like pumpkins. Which is good, because I think that's what we're going to do - I just needed someone to talk me into it, since it was Mom and Husband-to-Be's idea, and I am skittish about making 'expected' decisions.

HAPPILY, several of you also sent comments and private messages suggesting a MISHMASHING of stuff on tables (i.e. a little bit of everything you see above). This is also what I was thinking. So we're rolling with it, and I feel quite a bit more content with the decision all around: primarily paper mache pumpkins, mixed in with a little of everything else (in addition to half the tables having orange/white/black ikebana arrangements from my grandmother... did I tell you about that?).

Which was what this was all about really: less about making a decision, and more about gauging my contentment with the direction we seemed to be heading.

FORWARD!
