Let me tell you about my week...

No, really. Let me tell you; typing out the details on my tiny iPhone keypad will give me something to do while I warm the seats of the emergency room waiting area. But that's the end of the story.

A week ago today iwas driving home from visiting a friend when my driver's side front tire exploded. I was on the interstate, and just to set a more amusing scene I was wearing a dress and high heels. My phone was at 10% power and had been warning me of that for awhile. I'm not making any of this up. My fiancé was at work and could not leave.

Someone was kind enough to stop and help, and I am still giving thanks to the good powers for that act of kindness.

I planned to take my car for new tires today, and drove our "extra" car all last week. Last night the extra car's battery died, just as I jumped in to meet a friend for a movie. Comically, this is the same friend from last Sunday, whom I normally only see once every six months. So she came and picked me up, we missed the movie by caught our planned second feature, went to Waffle House... and her ignition locked up when we went to leave. An hour and a call to a locksmith later, it magically starts. We called the locksmith and cancelled. ;-)

This morning I get all new tires for my car. Yay me! I leave the shop and my car sounds a little weird when it cranks. I tell myself I'm imaging things, because I'm a "whatever can go wrong will happen to me" kind of person with an overactive imagination. I get gas, I get back in my car--won't crank. Two very nice gentlemen push it really fast, pop the clutch, and I'm on the road again. Back to the mechanic!

Is it my battery? Nope. Any other usual suspects? Nope. Does it crank right up every time? You betcha. Will it leave me stranded at a key point I'm the near future? Signs say it's probable.

Fiancé jumps the "extra" car, we just get started cleaning the house and discussing next car-fixing steps when I hear him on the phone in the next room and know something is bad wrong.

His Dad just passed out while sitting on his back porch. He's been having heart problems... Scary.

THIS JUST IN!!! Everything looks fairly minor.

Whew!
