Quilled Bat for Halloween Embellishment

Happy Friday the 13th, everyone!

I bring you a quilled bat.

Quilling = paper rolling. You roll up little spirals, then you squeeze them into shapes and glue them together. This little guy was done with three spirals, the middle one pinched into a kind of pointy-ended crescent, the two sides pinched into very warped, upside down tulip shapes (pinched in the middle, and then again at the sides).

He's maybe an inch long. If I make him a brother, I might get earrings out of it. Easiest Halloween diy craft project ever.

You can find instructions on something similar and larger at Julie in Taiwan.
