I'm sitting here listening to (and watching) the remnants of a severe thunder and lightning storm that just passed through the area. It was a rare treat. Thunderstorms here are usually brief and lacklustre. Entirely forgettable. But this one . . . this one lasted for hours. And it was powerful. Powerful enough to knock out the electricity. Twice.
I view the storm's passing as a missed opportunity. Had I anticipated its severity, I could have prepared.
I could have harnessed the power of the elements.
Who knows what might have resulted?
Ah, well. Perhaps it was for the best. These experiments always seem to end badly.
But wait . . . there's another flash. It's not over yet. Maybe there's still time . .
