some pictures -- trust me, you'll be sick of these soon

Professional pictures will be some time in becoming available, but here are a few that my friend took. He's got a nice eye.

Also, a few captions here and there:

It was a dark and stormy DAY.

The "Pope" gave his blessing. Such a cool hat.

Torches lined the driveway (it is long and winding).

Amusingly, half the people in this picture are in costume. Can you tell?

My cousin's two-year-old was a princess; she out-danced most of the grown-up and never even had a nap that day.

The ceremony was my favorite part. Someone had tears in their eyes, but it wasn't me. I was smiling too hard.

Here are our vows:

I, _______, choose you, _______ to be my partner and my life. In your eyes I see honor, truth, and devotion. I will be yours in times of plenty and in times of want, in times of joy and in times of sorrow, in times of failure and in times of triumph. I promise to cherish and respect you, to share and experience with you, and to comfort and encourage you always. Where you go I will go, where you stay I will stay, where you die, I will die and there I will be buried. It is not in the stars to hold our destiny, but in our devotion and commitment to one another.

Westley and Buttercup were there.

As was the Mad Hatter.

Dancing in this dress was difficult, but worth it. I talked to him the whole time.

My father/daughter dance was to the Flaming Lips' Do You Realize? My dad was giddy and at the end suggested a curtsy. I wished I had practiced in all the skirts/corset, but - the picture is nice. :)

Maggie is a girl dog; I don't know why she is wearing that hat. But she looks sweet.

A friend gave me the mask she brought -- it's in lovely? It's something she put together.

Mr. Manners.

Random nun. Ha!!

My sweet little doggie, with my sweet husband.

One of my best friends ever, looking fabulous.

The candy table was demolished. I was pleased.

One cupcake was poisoned: with Love. Hahahaha....

I wasn't really keen on having the 'couple' cake topper -- but in the end the super-adorable ghost tealights won out. I'm still not sure I like it, but I liked not having to think about it anymore.

The cake-cutting/toast was really chaotic, but - heck - it was one of the few moments that night that I actually got to hang out with my husband. :)

Sparkling send-off.

My dressmaker - she's amazing.

Nothing went as planned, everything was muddy, and by the end my dress was 5-inches high in Georgia Red Clay. But we came back for more dancing after staging and exit and danced until 2am -- some others until 4am. Forgetting all the stress I had and worrying that everything was cold and people were probably uncomfortable, I had a blast. My friends are AMAZING. I'm quite happy.
