HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Black Dahlia Centerpieces

No, the title of this post is not referring to some morbid murdered girl centerpiece (because I'm betting that most of my readers, like me, are more well-versed in unsolved murders than in flowers... it could happen to anyone) --- even I'm not quite that twisted.

No, we're talking about a splendid black floral derangement. Arrangement. Whichever.

Too often people think 'black roses' when black flowers are suggested. Personally, I am enjoying the variety in this project.

Happy Halloween Countdown! Hope your getting your tables ready for a candy feast. :)

Bridesmaid Bouquets

wedding lanternI've yet to decide what I'm carrying (looking more and more like it might be a traditional bouquet, probably of callalilies or some other funeral-ish flower -- my grandmother is a flower diva, and it's just not worth the never-ending discussion anymore), but I have found what my bridesmaids will be toting down the aisle!

We found these cute wire and cloth lanterns on sale a JoAnne Fabrics last weekend. I really dig them. My mother has tons of flameless candles to use in them. I'm excited - they'll be nifty at a dusk wedding, I think.
